The RayTemp 3 Infra-Red Thermometer is a compact, lightweight and easy-to-use thermometer which is perfect for use in the food industry. It is ideal when measuring food surface temperature and eliminates the need to touch the food you are handling, therefore avoiding the risk of cross-contamination. It measures food temperature in the range from -60°C to 500°C.
This thermometer is easily operated by simply aiming and pulling the trigger - the temperature of the item being measured is then displayed clearly on the LCD screen. The maximum temperature can also be displayed. The LCD display has a low battery, laser and backlight indicator and there is auto power off facility that switches the thermometer off after just 15 seconds, therefore maximising battery life.
With a simple push button operation, the user can select °C or °F. There is a laser assisted alignment to help pin-point the exact area of measurement and a 11:1 optic ratio (target distance/diameter ratio). There is no need for adjusting or focusing of the instrument and therefore this thermometer can be used by anyone working within the kitchen environment. The fixed emissivity of 0.97 makes this thermometer particularly suitable for chilled and frozen foods, however it can be used for a wide variety of applications.
